Broomsedge is a private golf club in the Sandhills of South Carolina, named after the golden grass found in abundance on the property.

The founders wanted a logo that captured the land's natural beauty, tied to the course's name, and was simple and easy to recognize. Their wish was for something that reflected the soul of their approach to building the course, in their words "Golden Age minimalism in its truest form by leaving untouched the land’s dramatic chasms, ridgelines, valleys, plateaus, spines, hummocks, and hollows."

In collaboration with one of the co-founders, we worked on several iterations with golden grass and a rustic broom as the starting point, both of which maintain a raw appearance and provide an intuitive connection to the course name and land aesthetic. The result has received rave reviews from across the golf industry.

In the photos, you will find several applications of the logo, some created by different companies across apparel, digital media, and other materials, highlighting its versatility and strong identity.
